MAY 26, 2010 Brooks Williams new DVD, “Brooks Williams teaches Blues Guitar Basics”, is now available to order! This is a great lesson for beginners and intermediate acoustic or electric guitar players who want to get a thorough introduction to the style. MARCH 22, 2010 We are proud to announce that the next Woodhall DVD to be released will be a new acoustic music flatpicking lesson with Grant Gordy, the wunderkind guitarist with the mind-blowing David Grisman Quintet. We will let you know soon the concept behind the lesson. The lesson will be filmed in July and released in early September 2010.
MARCH 16, 2010 The filming of Brooks Williams new Instructional DVD, his second with Woodhall Music, wrapped yesterday and we got some very cool blues guitar material for this one. It was shot at one of the best vintage guitar shops in North America, Guelph’s Folkway Music (www.folkwaymusic.com). The new DVD is geared toward beginner and intermediate players who want to get a really solid introduction to putting together acoustic blues guitar arrangements in a number of keys. The working title is “Brooks Williams teaches Blues Guitar Basics” and the release date is early May. Keep your eyes on the site for the actual release.
MARCH 1, 2010 Brooks Williams will be filming his second guitar DVD with Woodhall – “American Blues Guitar Styles” in March. Keep an eye on the site for the release of the DVD in early May, 2010. Also look for a new acoustic music/ dawg music flat-picking DVD for release in June, 2010. Watch this space for news on this one!
FEBRUARY 28, 2010 Woodhall will be presenting Brooks Williams in concert on March 12, 2010 at the Guelph Youth Music Centre, 75 Cardigan St. in Guelph, Ontario. Doors open at 7:30 and the concert starts at 8:00. Tickets are $20 and are available at Ground Floor Music – (519) 827-1444, Guelph.
